Millom School - New Head Teacher
05/05/2026

It is a privilege to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Millom School. Having been born and bred in Cumbria, I feel a deep personal connection to this region, and am incredibly proud to have the opportunity to lead a school that sits at the very heart of its community.

I currently live in Ulverston with my family and bring to this role 17 years of experience as a Senior Leader, including significant time working in Barrow schools. Across my teaching career I have also taught abroad and spent the early years of my career teaching in Nottingham. This background has shaped my commitment to providing a stable, high-quality learning environment where every student feels valued and can excel.

My ambition for Millom School is simple: I want to help shape a friendly, collaborative community where every student is empowered to thrive locally and have the confidence and skills to compete on a wider stage. I am committed to working alongside our dedicated staff, parents, and the wider community to ensure every student reaches their full potential.

I look forward to meeting you all, later in the summer term.
