Millom School is very proud of the achievement of its students and its track record in supporting students to secure employment with training, apprenticeships and places at universities, sixth forms and colleges, allowing students to continue their education and develop their skills in preparation for their future career plans.

Millom School is proud of the achievement of its students and its track record of supporting students to secure employment with training, apprenticeships and places at sixth forms and colleges, allowing students to continue their education and develop their skills. The table below shows the destinations of last year’s (2023) Year 11 cohort of 94 students. The “Other” category includes school sixth forms other than Millom School and UVHS and Colleges of Further Education, including Furness College, Carlisle College and the Lakes College.

26 students managed to secure apprenticeships with BAE Systems, Furness & Westmorland Council, HBP, Scurrah Nassau, PPS Electrical, RG Lumby, Impressive Building, AM Woodhouse Diary Farm and Tornado Wire.
